Single-payer health care has been one idea proposed to help remedy the health care of the United States.  Essentially, this form of health insurance is a system where by which health care expenses are covered by a single source.  This does not mean that the government controls the health care.  It can also be a organization that was contracted out, and is able to finance the expenses through tax revenues of family and companies.
