January 17, 2012

After watching this interview, you might want to think twice about whether your family is protected or not.

We recently had the opportunity to speak with funeral director of IRA Kaufman, David Techner. He offers some very personal, insightful, and interesting stories on his life and his experience with the deceased. As it turns out, his experience is far-more rooted in the lives and families of the deceased than the actual deceased.

Check out the video interview below. After watching, you’ll probably want to consider acquiring changes to your life insurance (or getting it if you have no life insurance at all). If that’s the case, reach out to us at MyInsuranceExpert.com – we’ll take care of all your life insurance needs!

Understanding the true cost of a loan

Before you take out a loan, you should make sure that you understand the true cost of the loan. Depending on various factors, the total cost of your loan as well as the monthly payments could fluctuate throughout the term. The loan cost is the total of the interest, closing costs and various fees in addition to the amount that you borrow. Consider the following scenario. Someone borrows a $100,000 loan with a static interest rate of 6 percent and agrees to pay it back over the course of thirty years.

As you consider which life insurance option to purchase, you may ask yourself; what makes up the cost of the policy and the monthly premiums? Our Sales Operations Leader, Eric Mojica, can explain to you the basics.

TRANSCRIPT:

Eric Mojica: “All across the country, people are trying to secure life insurance for their loved ones. So what goes into the cost of a life insurance policy? Insurance is a way to protect yourself and your loved ones against the risk of uncertainty or lost. And your cost is based on how likely you’re going to suffer that loss or not. For example, if you’re shopping for auto insurance, you’ll pay more if you’ve had a lot of speedy tickets vs. if you’ve had a spotless driving record?
