On June 5, a team of runners (and walkers) from MyInsuranceExpert.com called “Follow Me to the Beer Tent” will be participating in the Dexter-Ann Arbor Run. We’ve chosen to donate our sweat to Alex’s Army to benefit 3-year-old Alex Mandarino. This cause is close to our hearts, as Alex is a family member of one of our Advisors.
On Monday, March 14th, Alex’s family got the devastating news that he has a rare cancer called neuroblastoma. The primary tumor has been removed, but not before the cancer spread to many parts of his bone marrow making his condition a critical stage 4. Alex’s best chance of recovery is an expensive experimental treatment which is not covered by his health insurance.

When Woody Allen said, “There are worse things in life than death. Have you ever spent an evening with an insurance salesman?”, we couldn’t have agreed more! MyInsuranceExpert.com recognized this axiom as an opportunity to transform the customer experience and breathe new life into an industry that was dying (pun intended) for a fresh approach.
At MyInsuranceExpert.com, behind all the technology of the internet and through the distance on the phone sits a real person with a life of their own, just like you. Many of us are married; many of us have children, and all us have people in our lives that we love. So we know where you’re coming from when you begin the search for life insurance.

DETROIT – Five buses packed with Michigan’s best and brightest graduating college seniors poured into Detroit, most impressed with the opportunities they had previously been unaware of. The journey came days after Census data showed the city had lost 25 percent of its population.
But then again, 20-somethings are known for “going the other way” and spotting opportunities their elders miss. LiveWorkDetroit, part of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s new focus on attracting and retaining talent attracted more than 250 students from more than 20 colleges.
