Wake-Up Call

October 14, 2011

A lot of us put things off that are extremely important. But there’s nothing that will drive you more than a tragic story of someone who put that same thing off too long.

One of our top life insurance advisors, Samuel Johnny, encountered this very situation today with one of his clients. He wrote this:

Sam:
“I wrote this policy for a police officer and his wife on August 1st. He never got his exam done and I continued to encourage him to do so, because he has a wife and two kids, with only $10,000 in coverage. He also had a household income over $100,000,000. I finally got to him, because he had this to say today:”

Client:
“Hi Samuel,
My medical appointment is scheduled for next Wednesday. I may want to change my policy again. I just had a friend go in for knee surgery this week. The day after the surgery, he suffered a fatal blood clot “due to complications” and passed away. He was only only 42 years old. He was in perfect health and he left behind a wife and 2 children under 13. Definitely a wake up call.
Thanks, Joe”
